2024/2025 school year

We have awarded this years $1,000 Post-Secondary Education 1st Recipient Scholarship

In an effort to support continuing education in our community each year the society chooses up to two
applicants to receive a $1000 scholarship per year for up to two years.

The following year, provided the recipient(s)have elected to continue with a second year of post-secondary
education, they can then submit proof of enrollment to receive a second $1000 scholarship.

2024 Post-Secondary Scholarship Recipient is Sydney Parke, currently enrolled at Grant MacEwan.

We have awarded this years $1,000 Post Secondary Education Returning Recipient Scholarship

In an effort to support continuing education in our community each year the society
chooses up to two applicants to receive a $1000 scholarship per year for up to two years.
The following year, provided the recipient(s) have elected to continue with a second year of
post-secondary education, they can then submit proof of enrollment to receive a second
$1000 scholarship.

The returning recipient for 2024 Post-secondary Scholarship is Jonah Teixeira, currently enrolled at NAIT.

2024/2025 school year

We have awarded this years $1,000 RAP scholarship.

The Bonnyville Oilmen’s Society promotes education and offer a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) scholarship. The program is open to any Bonnyville high school graduates who have been accepted into a Red Seal Apprenticeship Program.

The recipient for 2024 RAP is Drew Dutertre, currently apprenticing at Ducharme Motors, Drew has been turning wrenches for a while now, started on the program on the high school and now enrolled into the apprenticeship.

In support of continuing education the Society chooses two Bonnyville graduate applicants to receive a $1000 scholarship per year for up to two years. The applicants must be able to demonstrate enrollment at an Alberta recognized post-secondary university, college or tech school.

Elizabeth Rae is our 2023 Award Winner of the Registered Apprenticeship Program (R.A.P.) presented by Committee Chairman (Bob Hunter).
